Black Honey

The outgrowers in the Ginbo district are smallholders, also known as “garden farmers,” because most of them cultivate coffee in the areas around their homes, often harvesting cherries from naturally occurring coffee plants on their land. The term "Black Honey process" refers to coffee cherries being removed from the fruit but still retaining a certain amount of mucilage during drying. This coffee presents notes of cider, orange peel, and honey.
